Redcare Products Are Changing
Last year BT let you know that they were to stop selling some of their products at the end of March 2019 because of the new European and UK standards. They listened to
your feedback and thanks to the date for the full introduction of the standards moving to the end of BT have decided to make their product changes on this date too.
Redcare Classic, Redcare GSM, Secure Solo, Secure IP and Secure Fire IP will be available until 5:59pm on 30 May 2019. After that they won’t be available to order.
BT have stated that they want to make sure that they are giving their customers the best solutions and products that they possibly can, but some of their older products won’t maintain their previous grade with the new standards. BT are promoting their new Next Generation portfolio as a future-proof solution with something for everyone.
The Ultimate, currently available for pre-order, is the perfect solution for a previous Classic or GSM customer. Ultimate has BT Redcare’s best alarm signalling system yet, with a built-in broadband hub, battery back up in the alarm panel to keep things running in a power cut and it uses a private IP connection and two 4G SIMs to make sure the signal is never compromised.
Got a question for BT? Take a look below and they might have answered it for you already?

Yes, as some of the technical parts will remain, customers can regrade to a similar product that uses the same kit. Check out the information below to see existing Redcare offerings and their potential product regrade:
Redcare Classic > Redcare GSM
Secure 2, Secure 3 Secure 3 > Secure Solo*
Secure Solo, Secure 2, Secure 3 > Secure IP

* If Secure Fire is downgraded to Secure Solo, the product will lose its fire accreditation. This could invalidate the customer’s insurance policy.
