Welcome to the aim team.

Michael Grayson - aim Sales Manager

Mike Grayson  With a career spanning over 35 years in the electronic security industry Michael has seen the industry develop from small beginnings to the multi million pound industry we now have. Starting as an installation engineer with Modern Automatic alarms he has held many positions including, service engineer, supervisor, sales consultant, branch manager, sales manager, regional manager and currently, managing aim.

“When I started, the cutting edge of remote monitoring was a record player that dialled the 999 service and played a message to the police; things have come along way since then.” The main thing I have learnt over the years is that our industry is a service industry and any companies’ success depends in the main on the quality of service it gives. If you give good service you keep your customers and attract new ones if not you loose them, it’s as simple as that. Right from the start of aim we have strived to provide a quality  personal service and our growth over the last year shows we are achieving it. When you add up all the engineers’ tests, alarms calls, phone calls, amendments to records etc we carry out on behalf of our customers there are many thousands of opportunities for us to get it right and give a good service, however we have the same number where we can get it wrong so there is no place for complacency. Over the coming months we are investing heavily in new systems which will help to ensure we stay ahead and continue to improve an already quality service.

Michael lives in Leeds and enjoys walking in the nearby dales with his wife where the Yorkshire air helps clear his mind and keep him fit for the future years in an exciting industry

Mike McHale - aim Area Manager (North)

Mike McHale   As aim’s Northern Area manager, Mike spends most of his time travelling around the country talking and listening to our customers. “Our philosophy at AIM is to provide a friendly, professional and supportive service to our customers” and Mike’s 27 years working within the security alarm monitoring business provides him with the perfect experience.

Starting as an alarm operator with Group 4 in 1978 Mike quickly gained promotion culminating when in 1989 Modern Security Systems acquired Group 4 Alarms, where as shift manager he worked out of their Manchester ARC. In 2000 he joined the aim sales team and with his knowledge and first hand experience of alarm users, police and installers has since become successful in attracting new installers to connect to aim whilst giving support to our long standing partners.

“During my years working inside alarm receiving centres I learnt exactly how important it is to communicate precisely to all parties concerned understanding the requirements of today’s busy installers, especially whilst changes in standards and police policies are underway”.

Mike lives in  Wigan with his wife and three teenage daughters, who keep him busy when not at work or tearing up the fairways.

Nigel Ingoldsby - aim Area Manager (South)

Nigel Ingoldsby

Whilst at Custodian he was the ARC Supervisor before taking on the role as ARC Manager in 2000. Nigel has been involved in many projects over the years and has a good understanding of what the Independent Installers need from an ARC. "Each company has a slightly different way of operating and it is up to us as Account Managers to ensure that we understand our customers needs and to tailor them appropriately".

One of the reasons for joining aim was their focus on the customer, which is based on having an Account Manager who can provide support and assistance.
