DualCom GSM

DualCom GSM is no longer supplied by aim, and should you try to order DualCom GSM we will contact you and recommend the newer and better specified DualCom GPRS.

However, there may be area's in the country where GPRS is not availlable and in these instances a special order may be placed.

DualCom GSM is a totally integrated dual-signalling device which, like it’s sister product DualCom +, uses both radio and telephone paths to transmit intruder alarm signals. In the event of accidental or deliberate damage to either path, DualCom GSM will ensure its working path transmits subsequent signals should they occur.

The DualCom GSM radio path utilises the GSM network and transmits via a data (rather than the more common voice) network thus ensuring a lower-traffic route is used for these all important alarm transmissions. This links to the Vodafone Data Network (VDN) network for onward transmission to the aim ARC.

DualCom GSM should only be ordered if the signal strength survey for DualCom is poor and there is no GPRS signal.
